We are very pleased to host Eric Peterson, Co-Founder and President of the Hakai Institute and Tula Foundation, for a presentation to the Geography Colloquium this Friday March 6. Eric will be speaking about long term ecological research, and the IT strategies employed to support this monitoring at Hakai’s field station on Calvert Island and in the surrounding area.
In large part, our lab owes its existence to the vision and investment offered by Eric and the Hakai Institute. We are among many investments Hakai makes in long-term science and community-engagement on the BC coast.
